Hey otters, the UKWOT is a wonderful charity caring for the otters in Britain, and it looks like they're in some financial trouble now. It would be great if we could help out a little by donating or adopting one of their three lovely otters. Personally I'm thinking of buying an adoption package but I haven't decided on an otter yet...

Definitely going to donate something for them as soon as I get paid. How much does an otter adoption package cost, it didn’t say on the website?
Oh, I must’ve missed that. I get paid on Monday, so I might go for a Silver Package around then

Oh, good choice. I've been undecided, though since you're picking Reggie I'm probably going for Rolo. There's something about her being found in the road by a lady on a horse that I like, and her rolling around upside down to sleep seals the deal for me. I hope she'll learn to love the water too.
Oh yeah, Rolo’s a great choice. It actually turns out that Reggie is unavailable, since I guess someone had already adopted him, so I’ll be going with Tolga
Huh that's weird, there shouldn't be any such limit. Have you emailed them? I think it's just their online shop that's broken.

Yeah, I emailed them and was informed that Reggie wasn’t available. Still, I’m not going to complain. All their otters are great, and it was hard to pick just one

Those are pretty great videos, otternon! I'm curious, did you receive those in a separate email from the other files, because I just got the one email without any otter videos. I'm not going to email them again and make a fuss or anything, though I do kind of wish that I had gotten the videos
Yeah, I did get them in a separate email after asking for them, so if you just ask you'll probably get them too no problem.
Should add, since getting a video is supposed to be included in the package, you're probably right to request it.

That could be really cool! Maybe someone should set up something where people could contribute to paying for that for Otterchat
Don't really know how to set up something like that... And for 30 pounds, maybe one of us can afford to do it. I'll see if I can if nobody else wants to.
See, I know I'd like to be able to pay for it, but I also don't have a ton of money as of now. I could contribute some to a fund to give to the UKWOT, but I don't think I'd be able to do it myself for at least a little while. My thought was that we could sort of crowdfund a thing where multiple Otternons could each give a little bit and then we could collectively give a larger donation from Otterchat as a group

They've got two new young otters at the sanctuary! Hansel and Gretel were taken in as orphaned cubs a couple of weeks ago. Aren't they the cutest pair of otts you ever did see?
Aww, they're so cute! I'm sure they're gonna be getting the best care with the UKWOT
More UKWOT news, a kind soul has donated land so they will have more space to care for otters. It'll take a few years to have it up to full speed, but it looks like it will more than double the amount of enclosures they have which is fantastic https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4g5p4yngzno
