How well can otters hear? And what species has the coolest ears? I think sea otters have pretty funny ears.

I'd imagine that otters' sense of hearing isn't as well developed as their other sense, notably their acute sense of smell. It probably isn't bad, but when you're spending so much of your active time under the water, that doesn't leave a lot of time your hearing super well. As for my favorite otter ears, I'm a big fan of the ears of the African clawless otter
Predators usually have really good hearing. But otters probably don't need that underwater.

Some pretty ears right there. I think all otters have nice ears, they are very small and unassuming which is cute.
Otters are much better at smelling and seeing than hearing, when hunting underwater they just use their fish radar.
Otters are quite unassuming, they have a beauty you only really notice on the second glance.

what's not to love about these ears?

Let's play a game!
Can you tell what kind of otter this ear belongs to?
Based on the slight color shifts, I’d guess an Asian small-clawed otter
The color is similar, but no... try again!
Hmmm. Maybe a smooth-coated or Eurasian otter?
Nope! Eurasians have more brownish fur, and smoothies are smoother.
African clawless otter?
No
Shall I reveal the answer?
I’m gonna take one more shot: is it a North American River Otter?

It's actually a giant otter!
That was a tricky one. Compared with other otters the giant otters ears are really small for its head.
